Tika was the shieldwielding fighter who became one
of the Companions who defeated the Dark Queen. She married Caramon after
the War of the Lance and bore five kids, Tanin, Sturm, Palin, Dezra and
####.
Tika is recogniced as one of the Heroes of the Lance,
but maybe unjustly so as she was more a companion than a hero. Despite
her strong attachment to Caramon Majere, she possessed a strong inner
strength. In the Legends Trilogy, more of her personality was shown.
Once upon a time when Caramon had lost all hope, Tika did the tough job,
of bringing him back to his senses, and put him on the road to search
for his evil sibling Raistlin.
Tika was upset for her husband, who grieved for the
loss of his sibling to the darkness, but she steadfastly took care of
"The Inn of the Last Home". At the end of the Legends Trilogy, an
incident has gotten it's special place in one of our contributors
heart:
Tika was cleaning up the house when she saw a muscular
man handling Caramon's hammer. She thought :" Just because you were
some big size buffalo doesn't mean that you can TOUCH Caramon's
things!" ( the man was actually Caramon, but she could not reckognise
him because he left her in a flappy , fat state and he was turning his
back to her). She then crept up behind his back and was about to hit
him with a weapon when he seized her by the hand and made her dropped
it. After realising who he is , she broke down and cried before him.
That chapter ended with their lips together. This short description
shows how sentimental and strong she was. But take note at this point
that she may not be the most touching girl in the world of Dragonlance.
